Job title: Lead Business Intelligence Developer

Location: Portsmouth naval Base - We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements

Salary:Up to £60,000 - dependent on experience

What you’ll be doing:

Responsible for ensuring governance is maintained on applicable Business Intelligence architecture (Alteryx/Tableau)

Lead, support and facilitate Maritime Services BI activities in line with business objectives and BI roadmap

Carry out all People Management activities for team as required

Provide technical direction to team, ensure teams are skilled, trained and competent such that technical capability objectives are fully achieved

Accountable for the budget, performance, and results of team

As Subject Matter Expert provide direction to Maritime Services Business and support in development, training, and publishing of BI

Your skills and experiences:

Well-developed skills and capability around the creation, understanding and presentation of business solutions utilising a combination of COTS toolsets and ability to present proposed solutions in an effective manner

High understanding of the various corporate Business Intelligence processes, tools, and techniques

Understanding of Data and Business architecture to ensure future proofing of delivered MI solutions

Extensive knowledge of modelling principles, methods, tools, techniques, and system architecture

Control resources and work package development/implementation in area of responsibility - limited guidance needed from seniors

Qualified in a numerical subject, with further business/professional qualifications preferable

The Maritime Services Information & Data Team:

This is a critical role in the ‘data enablement’ journey for Maritime Services, where you would be working within a very busy dynamic and collaborative team on a wide variety of Business Intelligence tasks. As a Lead Business Intelligence Developer, you will have key engagement with Senior Stakeholders and the ability to influence the direction of Business Intelligence across the Maritime Services whilst having a direct responsibility into continued toolset development and the ability to trial new technologies in line with Business strategy.
